What Marvel's The Defenders Cast Look Like In The Comics

Stick is the blind, elderly leader of The Chaste who taught a young Matt Murdock to use his powers (as they are similar to his own) and train him in hand-to-hand combat. He would later also train one Elektra Natchios, but would eventually dismiss her for her inability to keep her destructive emotions in check.

In The Show

Stick is another character who, in terms of look, was cast to perfection. Veteran actor Scott Glenn's Stick looks as though he was taken right from the comics (but then got a haircut and decided to find some pants that actually matched his shirt.)

His role in the lives of both Matt and Elektra is more or less the same, training them both with the intent to recruit them into The Chaste's fight against The Hand, all while being a generally cold and abrasive human being. He also serves as a means for the Defenders to come together, before ultimately letting his stern views get the best of him and falling at the hands of Elektra.
