Bakuto is one of the leaders of The Hand and operates in South America, sporting spiky black hair, tattoos on his neck and face, earrings, sunglasses, and a Yakuza-esque suit. He wasn't exactly a groundbreaking villain for the Marvel comics, however, as he was killed off by White Tiger a mere two issues after he was introduced in the Daredevil series.
In The Show
The only leader of The Hand to actually come from the comics, Netflix's version of Bakuto carries virtually nothing over from his original counterpart, save for his name and role in the organization. He is also yet another character who adopts a more unassuming, casual look in live-action.
Bakuto had recruited Colleen Wing into The Hand and pretended to be on Danny Rand's side before betraying him and eventually being killed in Iron Fist. He is revealed to have been resurrected in The Defenders and sets his sights on Colleen yet again, before being decapitated by his former pupil during their final confrontation.
