In The Comics

Foggy is Matt Murdock's stout best friend and partner at the Nelson & Murdock law firm. Early on, Foggy was a character with a severe inferiority complex, feeling he would never be as good as Matt. In later years, however, he simply represented the "common man" alternative to Matt's superhero lifestyle, as well as offered comic relief.

In The Show

The inferiority complex was an underlying aspect in Foggy's personality, but starting more or less in season two of Daredevil (and being solidified in The Defenders), Foggy has all but kicked that to the curb. He is far more confident than ever before, working on high profile cases with an admirable swagger, all while maintaining his everyman charm and comedic edge.

That said, Elden Henson still carries over the character's build, as well as the way he carries himself. (He did ditch the bow tie, however, which no one can really blame him for.)
