Eddie Kaye Thomas shot to fame after starring in the teen classic "American Pie" as Finch. As well as starring in every instalment within the American Pie film series, Thomas has landed numerous roles in lesser known teen comedies and a couple of cult classics too, such as Freddy Got Fingered.
Regarding television work, Eddie has had a fair share of appearances in many critically acclaimed thriller dramas, such as Law & Order and The X Files. But his biggest and most well known TV character is as Barry Robinson on American Dad, Steve's dimwitted friend.
Barry is essentially the show's version of Family Guy's Chris Griffin (right to the point where some fans believed he was voiced by Seth Green). He may have a slow mind but it's only the result of the drugs he takes. Without them, Barry is a criminal mind with a deeply evil side, smart enough to outwit all of his friends.
Barry also made a cameo appearance in the Family Guy episode "Killer Queen" as one of the fat campers, adding fuel to the fan theories of whether Family Guy and American Dad exist in the same universe.
