12. JK Simmons (Lenny Turtletaub)
JK Simmons is yet another BoJack star with a huge back catalogue of work, although he’ll never top his role as J Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man. It’s hard to imagine anyone anywhere in the history of ever has been more perfect for a part than JK was for JJJ.
That’s far from his only normal role though. His role as furious music teacher Fletcher scored him an Oscar for Whiplash, while Juno, La La Land, Veronica Mars, True Grit, Oz, Thank You For Smoking, The West Wing and Terminator: Genesys in his filmography.
Of course, as well as Marvel’s triple J, he was also Commissioner Gordon in Justice League.
Back in BoJack, JK Simmons plays the incredibly dry turtle Lenny Turtletaub, the film executive working on, amongst other things, Secretariat. Since his debut he’s been a constant background presence, appearing here and there to deliver sarcastic lines and help the story on. An under appreciated part of the show.
