What The Rick And Morty Voice Actors Look Like In Real Life

The emotionally-vulnerable father of Summer and Morty, Jerry Smith is voiced by comedian and actor Chris Parnell, who has the unenviable task of playing the most pathetic - yet lovable - character in the show.

In terms of the main characters, Parnell is easily the biggest star on Rick and Morty, having had a long and successful career in the entertainment business on both the big and small screens. Over the holidays you might've watched Christmas classic Jingle All The Way, and if you did, you'll have seen Parnell in his first film role, with the actor playing the toy store clerk who bravely laughs in the face of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In the movies, he's appeared in everything from Anchorman to Hot Rod to Hotel Transylvania, and on TV, he's appeared in Friends, 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Suburgatory. Not too shabby.

What's funny about Parnell playing the wimpy Jerry is that he's openly acknowledged his voice is best suited to playing incompetent characters, so he's about as perfect as the casting for this role could've been.
