What The Simpsons Voice Actors Look Like In Real Life

2. Dan Castellaneta (<span Style="font-size: 15px;">Homer Simpson)</span>

Additional Voices: Abe Simpson, Barney Gumble, Groundskeeper Willie, Krusty The Clown, Sideshow Mel, Mayor Quimby, Hans Moleman, Squeaky Voiced Teen, Santa's Little Helper

Not only his Dan Castellaneta the voice of the show's leading man in Homer Simpson, he does another 1000+ voices in the town, including some of the show's most recognisable faces. And yes, you read that correctly, Castellanata voices the dog Santa's Little Helper too.

Castellaneta was a struggling improv comedian when he got his big break on The Tracy Ullman Show, which led to him voicing The Simpsons' dad in a series of shorts. The rest, as they say, is history, and neither Castellaneta nor the show have ever looked back since.

Like his on screen wife Julie Kavner, Castellaneta has changed his voice through the show, softening Homer from a grisly Walter Mondale style tone. This happened so early though that the voice we know and love is the one Castellaneta's been able to hold onto for thirty years.

Possibly his biggest contribution though was "D'oh!", originally written in the script as simply "Annoyed grunt".
