What To Expect In The Umbrella Academy Season 2

After season one, Allison was left completely unable to speak. Being unable to control her power, a wave of energy exploded out of Vanya and slit the throat of her only sister. It could have killed her if the rest of the academy didn't get to her in time. But considering her power is rooted in the ability to speak, Allison still had her life turned upside down by the injury.

Although the group managed to escape the end of the world, Allison will still be left without a voice for season two - although it shouldn't be for too long. Emmy Raver-Lampman has been highly praised for her performance as Allison Hargreaves. It's likely the higher ups at Netflix will be eager to have her back in a speaking role. Luckily for them, Dallas has laid out a path for the writers to work with.

In the series, the Rumour is captured by the Temps and operated on against her will. The Commission managed to fix her voice and grant her the ability to speak again. This isn't a goodwill gesture, however. The catch is that Allison is then tasked with stopping her brother from disrupting the assassination of the President.
