Where Can Doctor Who Go After 'The Timeless Children?'

The Fugitive's Sentence

The Doctor Prison Timeless Children
BBC

At the end of The Timeless Childen, we saw The Doctor returning to her own TARDIS and, visibly shaken by everything that had happened, finally taking a moment to breathe and process all that she'd just learned about herself. That moment was ruined when the Judoon Cold Case unit arrived in a transmatter beam, arrested The Doctor for past crimes and transmatted her to a cell in a maximum-security facility on an asteroid somewhere. The sentence - an entire life of imprisonment.

It's obvious that she's being arrested for whatever the Ruth Doctor's crimes were during Fugitive Of The Judoon. In that episode, Ruth was pursued by the Time Lord, Gat, alongside a platoon of Judoon. This is likely when the Judoon gained their ability to rudely barge into a TARDIS like... well, giant rhinos actually.

This unknown crime almost certainly has something to do with The Doctor's work with The Division and is likely why she left them and fled to Earth in the first place. As our Doctor takes her first steps to finding out why she's been imprisoned, we'll be beside her, taking our own first steps into an exciting new era of storytelling.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
