Which TV Show Had The Best Final Season?

Tv For the last two weeks, our weekend prompt has focused on film, by taking a look back at summer 2013, then looking forward at the rest of the year. This week, I'd like to shift our attention to the small screen. With two incredibly popular shows, Dexter and Breaking Bad, making their final bows over the next couple weeks, I've given a lot of thought to the final seasons of TV shows, and how much the ending can affect its legacy. Though the bulk of the discussion is often given to a show's final episode or scene (Lost and The Sopranos, I'm looking at you), I'd like to take a look at the final season as a whole. Some shows are given the luxury of knowing when their final episodes will air, whereas others are blindsided by cancellation and never given a proper sendoff. Regardless of how a show ends, it's that final season that is the subject of this weekend's question: Which TV show had the best final season? Again, I'm not just asking about the last episode, or final shot of a show, but the entire finale. I want to know what you liked about the final batch of episodes, and why it left you satisfied. What made it successful? And what can other shows learn from that success? Let us know in the comments below!
