10 TV Shows That Ended In 2015

1. Mad Men

Having already lost one of the all-time great TV shows in 2013, last year saw AMC close to losing Mad Men as well. Wisely, it decided to repeat the trick it had used with Breaking Bad, and split the final season into two parts. While this meant once again a longer wait for the conclusion, it also resulted in an extra year with Mad Men in it, so there can't really be much of a complaint. Season 7, part 2 of Mad Men was every bit as stunning as the previous ones, and despite much theorising over what would actually happen (the opening credits mean someone literally falling to their death! Don is D.B. Cooper!) the end was much more fitting. In typical Mad Men style (and it certainly had a lot of it), things were left nicely in place, a conclusion for the series but the characters could simply continue. Some shows need to end with a bang, for Mad Men it was about finding peace, and whatever your take on the finale's meaning, it achieved that in extremely satisfying fashion. With more shows relying on action and shock-factor, Mad Men wasn't afraid to take it slow; it was the TV-ification of Don's favourite drink, the Old Fashioned. It was smooth and stylish, extremely well-written, directed, and acted, and now, unfortunately, it's over. Which TV show that ended this year will you miss most? Any we've missed?
