5. Joe Tries To Kill Love’s Brother

Love has as twin brother called Forty (Heathers' James Scully). He has problems with drug and alcohol abuse and struggles with his sobriety as he goes through the 12-step programme. He relies heavily on his sister and is everything Joe hates about LA privilege.

In Hidden Bodies, Forty steals Joe’s screenplays without giving him credit for the writing which causes Joe to kill him – or so he thinks. Forty is actually rescued and when he returns home he pretends not to remember what happened to him.

Forty then blackmails Joe into writing more screenplays for him. Joe realises that he can’t actually kill Forty because it would emotionally destroy Love, so he plays along. However, Forty eventually gets killed anyway as he’s hit by a car.

This fixes Joe’s Forty problem and allows him to write for Hollywood. Whilst it’s a little far-fetched that the one person he wants dead but can’t kill actually dies, there's definitely going to be an entertaining dynamic between them.

Hopefully Season 2 will stick to this, but will fully explore Forty’s troubled character before his untimely death.
