4. The Song Choice

One of the biggest observations that many made following You's first season was the conflicted feelings they had over Joe Goldberg. Though his actions were appalling and heinous, it was hard not appreciate him as a well-written character and Penn Badgely's performance had fans feeling even more conflicted during the early episodes - highlighting how even the most alluring of people can be dangerous.

So how do you capitalize on that oxymoron of a beautiful but unnerving man in the second season's trailer? Why, you only go and overlay it with a beautifully haunting rendition of Radiohead's Creep, don't you! A masterful use of music in a trailer (and a show) that benefited from it a great deal - immediately suggesting that Joe hasn't learned from his previous actions.

This trailer was all about setting the mood and letting us know exactly what we were in for, and it's song choice captured that beautifully.
