2. Clarity On The Candace Situation

Throughout Joe's quest to win Beck's heart in the show's first season, we couldn't help but wonder what really went down during his previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Candace. Perhaps ex-girlfriend is an overstatement because, in all honesty, viewers were pretty sure that she was dead. Until, you know, she turned up in the closing moments of the finale.

An even more mind-boggling moment, it did little to quench our question-filled thirsts and left all of us in need of even more answers. And, based on those odd black-and-white shots of Joe dragging Candace out of the back of a van and into the woods at the beginning of the Season 2 trailer, we're finally going to get them.

Cleverly orchestrated to make us think that they're taking place in the present-day narrative, the filter suggests that these scenes are flashbacks - something that is reinforced by the fact that a woman's buried hand begins to move (which perhaps explains how she escaped his obsessive wrath).

When Season 2 arrives, it appears that everything about Joe Goldberg's first relationship will become so much clearer.
