YOU Season 2: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

Meet the Goldbergs. YOU Season 2's ending explained.

YOU Season 2 Joe Love
Netflix

YOU didn't waste any time leaving all of our jaws on the floor following the conclusion of its first season, as the sadistic Joe Goldberg laid his obsessive love for Guinevere Beck to rest once and for all. It was a stunningly dark ending that seemed to suggest that, in spite of one story's ending, there were more stories for the thriller series to tell. And that's where the second offering came in.

Yes, after an intervention by Netflix itself, the former Lifetime series returned to our screens for Season 2, as Joe attempted to escape his past by moving to Los Angeles. Now calling himself Will Bettelheim, he tried to live an insignificant life by fading into the background so that he could avoid his not-so-dead ex-girlfriend Candace Stone. But when he found himself quickly becoming obsessed with Love Quinn, things began to unravel all over again for the show's unreliable narrator.

YOU's second season never failed to thrill audiences, but just like its predecessor, it ended on a note that was both melancholic and mind-bogglingly jaw-dropping. But just what does it all mean, and can the show move on once more?

Please be aware, this post contains heavy SPOILERS for YOU Season 2.
