YOU Season 2: What Does The Ending Really Mean?
6. What Happened?
Where to even begin with the ending of YOU's second season? An inversion of the first season's conclusion, Joe found himself locked inside one of his own glass cages when Candace caught him attempting to figure out who killed Delilah. Assuming he was the one responsible, she locked him inside and showed Love what her boyfriend was really like. However, in a shocking turn of events, Love killed Candace and revealed that she was the one who killed Delilah to protect Joe.
Though she claimed she did it out of love, this ultimately distorted Joe's perfect vision of her and he was ready to kill her until he found out she was pregnant. And in the end, they agreed to start a new life together - until they were confronted by Love's brother Forty who had figured everything out. Unfortunately, he was killed by Delilah's policeman friend Detective David Fincher.
Months later, having moved in with Love as they awaited the birth of their child, Joe found himself just about ready to give up on love altogether. That is, until he found his new obsession in the mysterious book-reading neighbour.
