Young Justice: Outsiders - 4 Ups & 2 Downs From Episodes 7-9

2. Keeping Up With The Crocks

Young Justice Outsiders Artemis Cheshire
DC Universe

When she was first introduced as Green Arrow's budding new archer, it was clear that Artemis Crock was keen to keep her family history a secret from the rest of her teammates. However, we eventually discovered that her sister was well-known criminal Cheshire and her father was The Light's enforcer, Sportsmaster.

Although she put her differences with both of them aside in Season 2, neither of them seemed to play a major role in her life afterwards. As we have seen so far in Season 3, Artemis now lives with Cheshire's daughter, Lian, and the baby's father, Roy Harper, while there has been no mention of her sister. Well, at least there wasn't until this week.

Following the intervention of Nightwing and his team, Artemis reunited with her sister in 'Triptych', asking her about the League of Shadows before berating her for not being a part of her own daughter's life. Cheshire willingly provided Artemis with some information about the League's new location and, although she put on a brave face, it was clear that she missed her daughter very much. That same episode also featured a brief appearance from Sportsmaster, who helped Shade escape from the heroes.

Despite the action-packed mayhem that often ensues in each episode, Young Justice is at its best when it strips things back and focuses on family. Thus, it's good to know that the show's most compelling family will continue to play a role in the latest offering.
