Ever since Amanda Waller made her presence felt during the show's first season as the warden of Belle Reve, fans wondered if she'd eventually ascend to a more prominent role like her comic book counterpart. Well, we may have all been waiting a little longer than expected (there was the mild hindrance of an unwarranted cancellation to overcome), but Young Justice has finally reintroduced the character as the mastermind of Task Force X a.k.a. the Suicide Squad.

Though the teaming of Black Manta, Captain Boomerang and Monsieur Mallah was more of a prototype version of the iconic comic book faction, it was all the tease we needed, simply because it was an omen of things to come.

From the chips in their heads to Waller's warning to Aquaman in the episode's conclusion, it seems like the Suicide Squad is set to factor into the season in quite a huge way - and that in itself is a good thing. The only question is: Will Amanda Waller spill the beans now that she knows the Justice League has its own covert team?
