Young Sheldon: 10 Big Bang Theory Inconsistencies

Sheldon is such a germaphobe that he won’t even hold hands with family members to say grace without putting his mittens on first. So when East Texas Tech set up a donor’s dinner to secure extra funding he’s understandably reluctant to shake hands with any of the donors.

Nevertheless, when he finds out that his scholarship depends on this dinner(and therefore his ability to make a good impression and not offend anyone) he does go through with it and shake hands with one of the donors. In the episode’s voiceover, the elder Sheldon says he did it in the name of science. He also says that this was the same principal he used for sleeping with Amy on their honeymoon.

That’s odd, because in The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon and Amy start sleeping together well before they tie the knot. Besides, Sheldon might not have the most rampant libido but he does enjoy the couple’s sex life. Not wanting to shake hands is one thing, if he was really that reluctant to sleep with Amy but went through with it anyway that would actually be really dark!
