10 Former MMA Stars Who Have Surprisingly Normal Jobs

8. Dustin Hazelett - Paramedic

Dustin Hazelett first stepped into the cage as a professional mixed martial artist at 18, the same age many are embarking on their first careers, the only difference being that Hazelett's career choice saw him put his health on the line of the course of a nineteen fight career that saw him compete with some of the best athletes in the sport.

Hazelett entered the UFC in 2006 and enjoyed a ten fight spell with the promotion, earning plaudits for his crafty grappling skills leading to four victories by way of tap out inside the Octagon.

Hazelett's black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu served him well during his time in the fight business, as his submission wins over Josh Burkman and Tamdan McCrory earned him $60,000 Submission of the Night bonuses with the former being one of the most impressive submissions of all time. (Seriously check it out if you get chance)

After retiring from the sport in 2010, Hazelett has devoted his professional life to helping rather than hurting others, working as a paramedic in West Virginia.
