10 Former MMA Stars Who Have Surprisingly Normal Jobs

7. Rosi Sexton - Osteopath

One of the pioneers of women's MMA in the UK, Dr Rosi Sexton made her professional debut all the way back in 2002, over ten years before Ronda Rousey would make history as the first female UFC champ.

Sexton made waves competing across Europe during a time when MMA was still vilified as a total bloodsport, with women competing considered even more taboo.

However, Sexton was instrumental in changing wider perceptions on the type of people who would actually step into a cage to fight another human being.

Contradicting the stereotype that all fighters were brainless brutes, Sexton holds a PhD in Theoretical computer science and had performed in the esteemed Royal Albert Hall as a musician.

Sexton even made it to the UFC, facing future strawweight champ Jessica Andrade before stepping away from the sport in 2014.

Since then she has worked as an Osteopath, specialising in helping other athletes recover from their injuries, and was also elected to represent the Green Party on the Solihull Council.
