10 Longest Active UFC Streaks

8. Leon Edwards - 8

And now to our second Brit!

Leon Edwards is yet another star who hasn't had it all his own way since arriving in the UFC back in 2014. He lost in his debut appearance for the company at UFC Fight Night 56 to Claudio Silva via split decision.

So, right off the bat Edwards had to bounce back from defeat, and did so with two consecutive wins. Then he came up against current Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman (we'll get to him later) and suffered yet another setback with a unanimous decision loss at UFC on Fox 17.

This clearly triggered something in 'Rocky' as he then embarked on an eight fight winning streak, which could have possibly been extended to nine if his bout with Tyron Woodley at 2020's UFC London wasn't suspended due to the current global situation.

Big wins over Vicente Luque, Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, Gunnar Nelson and Rafael dos Anjos have created a feeling that Edwards could realistically be next in line to the Welterweight throne. If he does in fact become the champ at some point in the future, Edwards will become only the second Brit to do so inside of the UFC Octagon.

Whatever happens next, Edwards can still be proud of one hell of a run so far.
