Now for a slight shift away from some of the more controversial showboats we've had on this list so far.

Here we have one of the most positively charming fellows we ever had the pleasure of seeing go to work in the cage. The accurately named Randy 'The Natural' Couture.

Equipped with an affable everyman quality, Couture was the go-to guy for special appearances and interviews during the 2000s for the UFC, and it wasn't long before Hollywood came calling for the lovable badass.

His first big role saw him sharing the screen with action legends such as Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Jet Li - among others - in The Expendables (2010) and Couture more than held his own, easily transferring his endearing personality onto the big-screen. He would also appear in the two follow-ups to the smash hit.

In a time when most rising stars now feel the need to lambast and spit venom at their rivals in order to generate interest in their upcoming bouts, Couture acts as a gentle reminder of just how popular a fighter can become in the UFC without depending on a facade or feeling the need to constantly disrespect his adversaries.

Couture changed the game, inspiring others to become more well-rounded Mixed Martial Artists, and he did it all with a smile on his beat up face.
