UFC: 10 Embarrassingly Awful Nicknames MMA Fighters Actually Used

4. Pedro “The Pedro” Otavio

Pedro "The Pedro" Otavio is the owner of the most pointlessly redundant nickname of all-time. The Brazilian heavyweight, who retired in the early-2000s, gets zero points for originality.

Honestly, why bother even having a nickname? Some fighters don't.

Thankfully, Matt Hughes decided to skip having a moniker, rather being known as Matt "The Matt" Hughes. "The Pedro" should have gone with the same strategy.

Names like "The Muscle Shark" and "The Creepy Weasel" are bad, but at least they tried. Lack of effort is always disappointing —especially when it comes to MMA nicknames.
