10 Doctor Who Deleted Scenes You Need To See

3. The Doctor Vs. The Landlord

Renowned British actor David Suchet played The Landlord in the Series 10 episode Knock Knock. As anyone who has ever lived in rented accommodation will tell you, landlords are evil, and this one was no exception.

Ok, fair enough, he wasn't totally evil. He was just sacrificing innocent students to feed the alien creatures keeping his daughter alive. That's much more nuanced than putting the rent up for no reason.

In a fantastic scene that sadly didn't make it to TV, the Doctor confronts the Landlord over his actions. Capaldi and Suchet are both brilliant actors, and this would've let them flex their dramatic muscles for all to see, adding some much-needed weight to an episode not everyone is fond of.

The scene doesn't appear to fit into the episode's conclusion so that's potentially why it was cut. It's also 90 seconds long, so if runtime was a concern, then chopping it would've been a big help.

Watching Capaldi get all intense is always a delight to watch, so we're just grateful that this scene was released at all.
