1 Up & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 29 - Results & Review)

Downs...

6. Dustin Rhodes Deserves Better

Dustin Rhodes The Butcher
AEW

Let's start with a gentle 'Down' first.

Dustin Rhodes vs. The Butcher trundled along, and there was an obvious lack of enthusiasm from the live crowd until both men reached the finishing stretch. They popped politely for Dustin's win, sure, but it's kinda sad to see Rhodes doing this as his brother prepares to headline WrestleMania. It feels like Goldie should be by Cody's side.

A lot of folks might not want to hear this (or admit it), but Dustin's All Elite run has petered out. Whilst the man's own personal happiness is definitely important, it's easy to see that he'd be more valuable elsewhere. It doesn't sit right that Rhodes will be watching his sibling's biggest night from home like the rest of us, put it that way.

Clearly, Dustin wants to be in AEW. If he didn't, he wouldn't be there. Again, that's fair enough, but there was a concerning lack of energy to his match on Rampage. Maybe everything else going on with his bro on the WWE side is colouring these opinions.

Maybe.
