1 Up & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 30)

1. Who Put This Sh*t On TV?

The Trustbusters AEW
AEW

Case in point, people.

Although a lot of the criticisms in these 'Downs' might sound harsh, they're actually trying to come from a good place. Everyone wants AEW to be firing on all cylinders again, but it does feel like the company has lost a lot of momentum over the past while. Rampage is a weekly example of that struggle.

Seeing Ryan Nemeth gobble up precious air time by recycling ancient jokes like, "ECW stood for Extremely Crappy Wrestling" sucks, and so does seeing Hook randomly show up to take him out. Then, as if that wasn't enough, The Trustbusters came out with an envelope for the babyface.

Thrilling, eh? Excalibur, Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone trying to sell any of this as must-see intrigue only made it seem like they were taking the p*ss. Their commentary was like a parody more than anything, but they're being hung out to dry when the content is this poor.
