10 2020 Mistakes WWE Will Definitely Repeat

1. Booking To A Calendar

This won't change either.

WWE's pay-per-view calendar is pretty much set in stone. Fans knows they'll see a Rumble in January, Elimination Chamber in February, WrestleMania in the spring, Money In The Bank over the summer, Hell In A Cell come October and TLC by December. Some of that is fine (the Rumble and 'Mania, for example), but most is rather restrictive.

It's difficult for WWE's writers to get creative and book naturally if they know someone has to work the Cell in October. This bullsh*t way of formatting the year's supershows ensures that nothing can ever happen organically. It also dictates that some feuds will be shoved into violent gimmick bouts even if they don't deserve it.

There's no getting away from this unless WWE completely shift how they approach pay-per-view. Giving each event a USP is fine provided the matches suit it. For example, would anyone really complain if HIAC happened in May 2021 instead?

If the matches suit the gimmick, then that's surely a positive.
