10 2020 Mistakes WWE Will Definitely Repeat

6. Crap Comedy Angles

WWE booking loves a good giggle. The problem is that those penning such mirth are typically the only ones laughing at their own jokes. Now, the product is generally still aimed at younger children - that's fine, but even they must scratch their heads at this sub-90s Nickelodeon humour.

It's just...not funny.

The Miz and John Morrison pranking Braun Strowman with slime but accidentally hitting Kayla Braxton isn't funny, Morrison dressing up as Mel Gibson in Braveheart (for some reason) isn't a barrel of laughs either, and even R-Truth's 24/7 Title hijinks have lost their way. WWE's approach to comedy must change in 2021.

They force it far too much, and often shoehorn laughs into top title situations for the sake of it. That's a huge problem, because it undermines everything. Comedy can work, but it needs to be worth the effort. WWE probably won't learn their lesson for the coming year ahead.
