Or, in Randy Savage's case, they're keen to find their lover a gig.

When Randy joined WWE in 1985, his immediate storyline was to decide who deserved to manage him. All of the big guns lined up to flaunt their services his way, including Jimmy Hart, Bobby Heenan and Freddie Blassie. None of them got their man. Instead, a timid but stunningly beautiful outsider was given the nod.

She was Randy's real-life wife, Miss Elizabeth, and she caught everyone's attention from the off. Liz had experience working in territories outside the company, and she was obviously close to Savage. That, along with Randy's notorious need to control...his character's destiny, convinced Vince McMahon to hire her.

Over time, Miss Elizabeth became a star in her own right independent of the 'Macho Man'. By the time they split onscreen in 1989, she was her own woman, and was even used as a star attraction during a mixed tag match (featuring Randy and new squeeze Sherri) at WrestleMania VI.
