10 "Perfect" Wrestling Feuds That Went Horribly Wrong

1. Brock Lesnar Vs. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman is a figure of fun these days.

He thinks he's the first person to rip off The Dark Knight (2008), he works for the outlaw chud show Control Your Narrative, and he frequently finds himself in Twitter spats that never go his way. He can't remember key details of his life, which isn't ideal, since he's quick to bury people for doing things that he...also did.

But believe it or not, he was white-hot five years ago. It seemed as though Vince McMahon had found the perfect solution to a problem that had plagued his product since 2011: pesky, disruptive fans wanted to see good wrestling in it.

Strowman's agile hoss stuntman bit was a revelation. He was so great in the role that he made something unfashionable fashionable once again, he remains Roman Reigns' best opponent not named AJ Styles, and he embodied sports entertainment in a rare, actually great way. The fans gravitated towards a Vince McMahon project amid the indie boom.

Problem solved!

The Brock Lesnar programme was a tantalising bomb blast prizefight of a prospect to everybody...

...not named Lesnar, who phoned it in at No Mercy 2017, after which Vince thought less of Braun and slowly phased him out of main events.
