Official confirmation that The Deadman is (or at least was as of this Sunday) not retired finally arrived this week at WrestleMania 34, when he accepted John Cena's challenge of a match on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Thanks to Cena spending the last month calling him out on Raw, there was nothing shocking about this to anyone who had access to a television, let alone the internet. But even four or five months ago it was pretty well known to those online.

This is because in-the-know sources had helpfully leaked the information to wrestling news websites, letting them all know that Vince McMahon and co were trying desperately to convince The Undertaker to fight one more match.

It didn't take anything away from the sight of seeing one of few genuine wrestling icons back in the ring, of course, but the fact that we all knew it was coming took some of the gloss off what otherwise may have been some interesting, will-he-won't-he build-up.
