Roddy Piper's recent passing brought the spotlight back on one of the greatest heels of all time, and one thing certainly stood out: the Piper character really is a timeless classic.

His promos would be just as awesome in the WWE today as they were decades ago. "Just when they think they have the answers - I change the questions!" is as perfect a line as ever. Nearly every "wrestler doing the interview" segment seen in today's wrestling world owes a nod to Piper's Pit, and his influence - both inside the WWE, and outside, on stars like Ronda Rousey - is unquestionable.

When you're that timeless, you'll always fit right in - and were Piper to join the WWE today, just starting out, he still would have been awesome. In fact, these days, he might even have had a better shot at a title reign.

These are but ten 80s era wrestlers who would be awesome in the WWE today - feel free to add your choices below.
