10 Absolute Best Moves In Wrestling Right Now

9. Bron Breakker's Spear

Konosuke Takeshita
WWE

The spear is a move that many wrestlers use, whether it is advisable or otherwise, purely because it's over.

Some get away with it, as it were, even if it doesn't look as convincing as the best variations, because the fans love the wrestler regardless. In terms of pure execution, Ricky Starks actually boasts a very good spear. His form is excellent - it's a wild, lunging and impactful variation - but he's not a truck-wide meathead. It isn't quite the same. Weirdly, given how intelligent they are in crafting matches and staying over for life as brilliant all-rounders, both Edge and Christian, very slender talents, have very flimsy spears. They are woefully lacking the same gut-busting impact as Goldberg's and Rhyno's - but that underscores a point made in the intro. Their spears are over because they know exactly when to unleash them.

But then, Bron Breakker while incredible for his experience level can hardly be mistaken for Kazuchika Okada, and his spear is unbelievable. He sells for too long because that's what WWE makes him do for some reason, then wham - a rocket power-fuelled freight train breaks some f*cker's ribs.

Ultimately, whatever works works - and Bron Breakker snapping people in half works.
