10 Absolute Worst Gimmicks In WWE Right Now
4. Alexa Bliss
Speaking of rubbish...
Alexa Bliss' descent into the spooky, Fiend inspired gimmick has been problematic from the start. Originally, tying her into the story between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman was a rare moment of WWE having their finger on the pulse. Bliss's chemistry with Braun in the Mixed Match Challenge was great and for a long time, fans had wished her into the Sister Abigail role.
But then it just went to hell.
Bliss went from being slightly obsessed with The Fiend, to becoming a full-on sorceress. With the ability to teleport, control minds and spew black goo on command, this entire thing became nonsense way before the WWE basically binned Wyatt off and transposed his once successful gimmick onto her.
Alexa's Playground is a poor substitute for the Firefly Fun House, and despite her best efforts, Bliss just doesn't have the chops to play the role in anything approaching convincing. Weaving in a nonsensical, sentient doll into the act has been the most Wrestlecrap thing WWE had done in years and that's saying something.
Worst of all, her entire depiction is problematic, as she dressed provocatively but essentially acts like a child. It's just very uncomfortable.
Thankfully, fans have rejected the gimmick since they have returned and we can only hope that when Bliss returns from her current hiatus, she is back to something resembling her old, normal self.
