10 Absolute Worst Matches In WWE Survivor Series History

5. Hornswoggle Vs. The Great Khali (2007)

Extremely Large Person vs. Extremely Small Person is exactly the kind of goofy sports entertainment formula that Vince McMahon strokes himself to sleep over, and popping himself was presumably the only goal the Chairman had when putting this thing together in 2007.

Hornswoggle had recently been revealed as Vince's illegitimate son. Embarrassed that the fruit of his loins was a kayfabe leprechaun, the boss started booking the wee man against guys big enough to see him as an appetiser, with Umaga 'Swoggle's first opponent. This Survivor Series rematch was booked next. In another humiliation segment, Vince made both Hornswoggle and The Great Khali weigh in ahead of the event, and with the 7'4" Indian coming in at literally double his opponent's heaviness, it looked like a straightforward fly-swatting was in order.

An overlong introduction saw Shane and Vince McMahon make their way to the ring, before Hornswoggle and his skill-deficient opponent fannied around ringside until Finlay came to everyone's rescue. His shillelagh blows earned Khali a DQ victory, and he grabbed 'Swoggle, pulling him from ringside, saving us from the torment of this certified dud extending far beyond the three-minute mark.
