Video packages are something WWE do really, really well.

Though no longer as necessary on the week-to-week television product nor particularly as relevant as the company would like to think in feuds without a central narrative, the slick production and well-paced presentation often does a better job of explaining an issue than clips of the actual moments themselves. These are particularly palatable for new or uninformed viewers - the viewers NJPW are still very keen to keep.

So then to the main event. The biggest match the company had in their locker based on the size and scale of the incomparable trilogy that preceded it, Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada's clash was a tale of two journeys only occasionally intertwined. Okada's role as the company's new 'Ace' traversed through a record-breaking 12 successful title defences, whilst Omega's trip was one of emotional recompense and a spiritual awakening.

All of this was captured first in a traditional pre-match build-up video, then doubled down upon in a glorious final farewell to Omega's past life via loving tribute to Marvel box office hit Avengers: Infinity War. That's where comparisons with the CGI superheroes of the silver screen ended. This was the real deal...
