10 Absolutely Incredible WWE Backstage Vince McMahon Stories

8. The Incest Pitch

Vince Mcmahon
WWE Network

Against all common decency, Vince McMahon, really a glorified hick, has a morbid fascination with incest (the origin of that is less incredible, more deeply tragic). Mercifully, the dawn of the PG Era in 2008 put paid to more gag-inducing gimmicks like Beaver Cleavage and the Burchill lovers. To an extent, they were comprehensible only in that McMahon wasn't the one loving the one he was with.

That however was almost the case, according to daughter Stephanie on the 2006 'McMahon' DVD. Vince wanted to reveal himself as the father of Stephanie's baby, incorporating her first real-life pregnancy into WWE television. She nixed the idea immediately. "I don't know who would find entertainment in a storyline like that," Steph noted.

It was an incredible revelation, even by McMahon's standards. That he was willing to either act out a willing relationship or an even darker molestation angle with his own flesh and blood all but confirms that, beneath the bluster, he is a disturbed individual.

Even more incredible was Vince's alternative pitch. He had failed entirely to grasp that the very concept of incest was enough to repulse his daughter. Maybe it was just the icky age difference, he must have deduced - because he pitched brother Shane as the father instead.
