10 Absolutely Terrible Songs By Pro Wrestlers

6. Various Wrestlers "The WrestleRock Rumble"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdnB7OLHNwM For football fans of the 1980s, the Superbowl Shuffle was an embarrassing thing to watch. It was the Chicago Bears dancing and...well shuffling to a pretty lousy song. Somehow it earned a Grammy nomination and sold 500,000 copies. What was America thinking? The players took turns singing a line and then doing something silly. Well, The WrestleRock Rumble makes the Superbowl Shuffle seem like Beethoven€™s 5th. In 1986, the AWA was losing steam fast. The WWF was crushing them with their rock €˜n€™ wrestling connection, and owner Verne Gange decided his company should do their best imitation. So, he threw an event called WrestleRock. To promote the big card, the company put together a music video for the hit song "WrestleRock Rumble." It was actually not a hit at all, unless you're counting a hit to the groin, because that's what listening to it felt like. Ever wanted to see Shawn Michaels, Curt Hennig, Scott Hall or a 50 year old Nick Bockwinkle do some rapping? No? Well, how about one of the most feared heels in wrestling history in The Shiek threatening Verne through rhyme? What? You haven€™t? Well here ya go anyway! Feast your ears on this! You€™ll never rock again. By the time you€™re done, you€™ll probably be shuffling your way to the nearest toilet for a WrestleRock vomit.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
