10 AEW Matches We Most Want To See

2. PAC Vs. Kenny Omega

This was already an incredible prospect in itself.

PAC Vs. Kenny Omega represents the most jaw-dropping of AEW dream matches. Both men are next-next-level athletes. Both are psychological warlords with airport physiques capable of flying into one another at warp speed and with proper, lip-pursing force. Both, and this is the proper meat of the dynamic so many wrestling fans are starving to gnaw at, boast the most protected finishers in the industry. The Black Arrow and One-Winged Angel are the 1 and A weapons of pro wrestling mass destruction, and even the tease of detonation would ignite a molten arena crowd.

The controversy surrounding the fractured relationship between PAC and AEW adds a cruel slant to the anticipation, in that it might not actually happen. But PAC won't hold the Open The Dream Gate Championship until the end of time, and the understanding is that the two parties remain keen to work together once his watch has ended - and this political subplot might inform some quality, early walk-out teases.

Kenny Omega envisions his bouts as Street Fighter spectacles. This blast of electricity is the perfect video game adaptation.
