If Kip Sabian removes the bag from his head and nobody cares, did it even happen?

Despite trying on a number of occasions, AEW just can’t seem to get Kip Sabian over. His current long-running story of sitting in the crowd with a paper bag on his head hasn’t conjured up any interest and let’s be honest, what do we expect to happen when we get the pay off? Can you see Kip Sabian being anywhere near any of the top belts?

Injury hasn’t helped his cause, but when anyone tracks Sabian’s AEW career, the only noteworthy moment was introducing Miro in an ill-suited gimmick that was only corrected when the Redeemer turned on KIp and struck out on his own.

Sabian needs a move to Ring of Honor because in the eyes of the AEW faithful, he is not a star. He has never been presented as one, nor has he really given the fan base anything to change their minds. In 2022, in a roster so stacked that the likes of Darby Allin feel underutilized, what hope has he got?

There is a very talented wrestler in Kip Sabian, who does have a smarmy charisma that could translate into a great addition to the roster. If that roster belonged to Ring of Honor, Sabian could benefit by being put in the ‘Pure’ division, and finally give the US audience a chance to see what he’s got.
