10 AEW Stars Who Desperately Need More TV Time
8. Colt Cobana
Cabana’s most recent in-ring appearance saw him fed to Bryan Danielson as part of the American Dragon’s quest to demolish Hangman Adam Page’s Dark Order buddies. Aside from that, Colt has been at best a sporadic presence on AEW television, mostly hanging around in the background during Dark Order backstage segments.
He was recruited to the once creepy, cult-like faction in 2020 with Mr Brodie Lee taking a particular interest in “Boom Boom”. Brodie took care to shield the Dark Order’s latest member from the group’s more underhand tactics. Colt, for his part, seemed oblivious and glad to be part of a winning team. Clearly all this was going somewhere.
No one can blame AEW for abruptly changing course after the tragic passing of Jon “Brodie Lee” Huber, but with Cabana's story quietly dropped it's a shame there’s been nothing else thrown the Chicago native's way.
Fans would of course relish an interaction with his former best friend CM Punk, but that comes down to whether or not the pair are willing to work together and so far there’s not been so much as a hint. If that’s not possible, Tony Khan should be able to find something for a guy who is effortlessly entertaining both in and outside the ring.
