Ricky Starks is quickly becoming a big deal in AEW, which was signified by having him go all the way in the AEW Championship Eliminator Tournament. He will now challenge MJF for the World Title at Winter is Coming, but is unlikely to stop the new champion in Max's first title defense.
The Stroke Daddy will undoubtedly be a World Champion one day, but AEW should not be afraid to take their time with Starks as he ascends to that point. The former FTW Champion could go for any other title and feasibly win the gold, as he is an incredible television star who should have a lengthy and meaningful push.
For this reason, a TNT Championship run would be a perfect position to put the 'Absolute' performer in, as he could be a fixture on Dynamite or Rampage every week. This would also set him on the same course as his former friend turned bitter rival Powerhouse Hobbs, who is likely going to be a TNT Champion at some point soon.
As a reward for all their hard work in Team Taz and beyond, it would be great to see both men get their flowers and become champions in the promotion next year.
