10 AEW Wrestlers Already Dreaming Of WWE
9. Athena
Apparently, AEW signed Athena so she could do the J.O.B. for Jade Cargill and little else. The one-time Ember Moon stared at the lights for Jade following a shockingly short four-minute bout at All Out, then found herself making up numbers in the Interim Women's Title mix last month.
Like Ruby, she's been struggling.
Things looked so promising when Athena was revealed as the latest marquee signing back at Double Or Nothing. She was billed as the perfect woman to cut down unbeaten TBS Champion Cargill, but then creative got cold feet on all of that. The four-minute loss thing proves it.
Is this really a step up from anything Moon was doing on NXT before departing WWE? Nah, it's been a sideways step more than anything, and it doesn't seem like Athena is going to suddenly rocket up the ranks soon. She's in an awkward spot, and it's a complete waste of her skills.
