10 AEW Wrestlers As You've NEVER Seen Them Before

1. Riho

At just 23, AEW's inaugural woman's champion Riho should still be in the embryonic stages of her career. However, the Japanese star actually began treading the canvas at the preposterous age of nine, making her a 14 year veteran of the industry before she's even hit a quarter century in age.

As a consequence, pretty much any image of Riho's early days is astonishing, since, Nicholas Cone aside, Western eyes aren't generally accustomed to children wrestling (and probably shouldn't be). We'll leave it that way, and instead share this snap of a teenage Riho in the ring of the wonderfully named ICE RIBBON. Against that logo, and in that tracksuit, she looks more like a budding Olympic figure skater about to launch into a routine than the world champion wrestler she'd become.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
