10 AEW Wrestlers As You've NEVER Seen Them Before

6. Lance Archer

The Butcher isn't the only AEW star whose a cool guitar dude in an alternate timeline. Years before he was slithering around with Jake Roberts and getting under Jon Moxley's skin, Lance Archer was the (plastic) axman of TNA's presumably tongue-in-cheek music trio The Rock 'n' Rave Connection, going under the guide Lance Rock alongside Jimmy Rave and Christy Hemme.

Unlike The Butcher, Archer's instrument of choice was a delightfully naff Guitar Hero controller. How he went from this to violent Suzuki-gun enforcer is anyone's guess, though it's telling of the WWE creative process that Archer discredits his minor FCW repackaging to 'Vance Archer' as nearly killing his career, and not jamming in earnest on an Xbox peripheral.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
