10 AEW Wrestlers That Are Permanently Lost

8. Tay Conti

Hangman Page AEW Title The Dark Order
AEW

On a recent edition of AEW Dynamite, Tay Conti accosted her former on-screen best mate Anna Jay and castigated her for not making smarter choices as she licked her wounds following a loss to Serena Deeb.

This was either an in-character and knowing nod from the heel character Conti currently plays, or an embarrassing self-own on the part of those crafting this story. Conti hasn't wrestled on AEW Dynamite or Rampage this year, with her last match on either show actually taking place alongside Jay and earning rave reviews in the process. TayJay's Street Fight win over The Bunny and Penelope Ford felt like a feather in the cap for the league at large, but scanned as even more of a false dawn when Conti became a character defined by who she was dating rather than the impressive body of work she was rapidly assembling.

The AEW Women's Division remains in a constant state of flux, but the longer Conti hangs off Sammy Guevara's arm, the more she risks losing valuable space and time trying to advance within it.
