10 AEW Wrestlers To Jump Ship RIGHT NOW
7. Skye Blue
AEW has done the 'happy-to-be-here' smiling babyface act with Skye Blue, and that blossomed naturally into a darker edge alongside Julia Hart. Skye's character is more likely to torture an opponent and sick smile about it than she is to high five them with an innocent grin. So, in other words, she's developed.
Cool, what's next?
Blue has plateau'd big time over the past few months. Sure, she had a few TBS Title scraps worth talking about in May, but that was then and this is now. It's a recurring problem that Tony Khan fails to follow up on stuff - wrestlers gain a little steam then cool off and go right back to square one within just a few weeks.
At 24, Skye has practically her entire career ahead of her. She'd benefit from working way more matches in pressure spots on NXT (Blue's had just 7 singles matches on mainline AEW programming this year) and ironing out any wrinkles in-ring. Tag-teaming that with more chances to work on her character would do Blue good.
