3. Malakai Black

Malakai Black needs to live the WWE challenge again too.

This time, he'll win. Vince McMahon was never going to understand someone so cerebral and in-ring focused during his leadership dotage. Black is the kind of worker who marries independent wrestling's best with occasionally-deep character work. He just needs a promoter who backs that for longer than a few weeks.

Tony Khan is not that man. The House Of Black concept has run out of legs in AEW, and Malakai is visibly toiling. A controversial effort inside the cage vs. Adam Copeland at Double Or Nothing could be as good as it's ever going to get around here for the HOB leader. Receiving a hug and a vote of confidence from Papa H would go a long way.

Malakai is respected by his peers, and rightly so. He's a top worker on his day, and has a creative mind that's gone unfulfilled since he was encouraging SmackDown stars to "pick a fight with me". It'd be sweet to see this man get his flowers on a bigger stage.
