10 AEW Wrestlers Who Are Almost Unrecognisable Since Debuting

6. Julia Hart

Julia Hart took a "Boop" and a beating from Kris Statlander in her AEW debut on Dark in May 2021, but as a babyface playing a literal cheerleader for the Varsity Blondes, her lot in life was always likely to be limited to smiling and dancing as the team took losses.

For such fully-drawn personas, that's often how gimmicks such as these go, but her change came thanks to an interaction between the team and the House Of Black. After being misted by Malakai Black she spent months in an eye patch, and while the incubation period for the turn was far too long to remain believable, her eventual linking up with the trio was a major turning point in her career.

Naturally, the aesthetics needed a huge shift too - out went the bright colours, cheerleader outfits and academia attires. Instead (and to this day), it's all black and with a typically fetching hat to boot.
